Filling out the arrival card
You are required to fill out the arrival or departure card upon visiting a country. The contents of the cards are similar, but the form may vary slightly.
입국신고서 작성방법
Procedure When your international flight nears the destination, the crew will start to pass around arrival cards and customs declarations. This is required to enter the country and may be presented to the immigration officer along with the passport but is not required for passengers making a direct transfer without going through immigration.
Fill out the arrival or departure cards and keep the latter securely for leaving the country. Go through immigration inspection by submitting your arrival card, passport, and plane ticket to the immigration officer.Entering a foreign country Of the 2 cards filled out before entering the country, submit the arrival card at the immigration checkpoint and keep the departure card safely to present it at the immigration when leaving the country.
Filling out the arrival card Arrival cards generally need to be filled out in clear upper case English characters, with no empty spaces if possible.
Filling out a customs declaration
Write down basic information such as Name, Gender, Nationality, Date of birth, Purpose of travel, Temporary place of residence, etc., similar to the arrival card.
Indicate “No” in the field checking for possession of fruit, plants, meat, food, soil, bird, snakes, and other such living organisms.
Indicate “Yes” or “No” in the field checking for possession of money exceeding the country’s declaration threshold. Calculate the total sum of the items you are carrying and write it in USD.
For US customs declarations, the “Warning” on the back side says that traveling with essential goods, illegal goods, and imported goods is in violation of the US law regardless of quantity, that prohibited agricultural produce must be declared to customs, and that any violation will result in a penalty.
After filling out your customs declaration, proofread one more time, and then sign.
