Greetings to you all.We sincerely welcome you to our website, Civil Aviation Training Center(CATC) of Korea Airports Corporation(KAC).

CATC is the top educational institution of civil aviation with the responsibility of nurturing human resources to achieve the Vision 2030, “World-class Airports Corporation Creating Biz & Life”.

CATC was established in 1984 based on the agreement between the Korean Government and UNDP/ICAO for the development of Korea’s civil aviation industry. It belongs to KAC which manages a total of 14 airports including Gimpo International Airport with 7 international airports and the Air Route Traffic Facility Center(ARTFC).

In addition to job training courses addressing airport management and navigational aid management , CATC is operating more than 100 training courses for flight praticians in developing countries, manufacturers for selling our self-developed navigational aid and trainings entrusted to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the army, the air force, as well as commercial airlines in Korea. We have developed new fields about aviation security and airport services since 2012. CATC has made efforts to improve technology capabilities of foreign flight practicians including job training for Chinese air traffic controller in 1995. CATC serves as the cradle specializing in training of flight practicians who will ensure the best flight safety and advancement of airport management.

Since 2001, CATC has played a major role in boosting technical capabilities of flight practicians in developing countries by inviting many engineers, policy managers and air traffic controllers from Southeast Asia, Africa, Middle East and Central/South America (1,015 from 109 countries up to 2016) to provide them with the training programs such as ILS Maintenance, Navigation Policy, Radar Approach Control by cooperating with ICAO, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation and KOICA under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

CATC will keep contributing to the international cooperation, development of international aviation and navigation safety by sharing our thirty-years of experiences of airport management and navigation safety technology.
