S.E.S(Smart Entry Service)
Smart Entry service (S.E.S) refers to the state-of-the-art automatic entry/departure clearance system of Korea utilizing the passport information and biodata (fingerprint and face) at the Smart Entry Service gate for fast, smooth clearance.
It takes no more than 12 seconds to clear S.E.S.
Those older than 19 can access S.E.S even more conveniently as they are exempted from pre-registration from March 1, 2017.
The following are required to make pre-registration:
Passengers subject to pre-registration
Those 7-18 years old (those 7-14 years old require the presence of their parent and a family relations evidentiary document).
Those who were allowed to change fundamental personal information such as name and date of birth
Registered aliens older than 17

Go through the ID check and the glass door
STEP 02
Pass the security conveyor belt
STEP 03
Go to the pre-registration center of Immigration Office right to Departure Clearance

Put the personal data page on the scanner.

Enter the gate when the automatic door opens.

Put the registered finger on the fingerprint scanner. The screen shows when the finger is registered.

Look at the camera for face recognition. This may not be required depending on the model of the gate
