Daegu International Airport, located at the center of Gyeongsang-do, connects the world both geographically and functionally and serves as the only center of international exchange in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do.Customers can reach Gyeongsan, Yeongcheon, and other nearby Daegu regions in 30 minutes and Gyeongju, Andong, Pohang, and Gyeongbuk tourist attractions in 90 minutes. The airport is also the base airport in the Yeongnam area.It is the optimum location for attracting Chinese and Japanese tourists visiting Gyeongju, North Gyeongbuk, and other sites. The success of the 2011 Daegu IAAF World Championships will trigger the airport’s leap into a central airport in Northeast Asia.
