- Airport Introduction
- Cheongju International Airport is located at Ipsang-ri, naesu_eup , Cheongwon-guon , Chungcheongbuk-do. It was opened of airforce field on September 1978, and in 1984, international airport construction plan was decided. The construction was completed on December 1996, and it was opened with the name of Cheongju International Airport on April 28, 1997. Cheongju International Airport that is point of the central part is located at the center of land being away 250km from Incheon Airport and 165km away from Gimpo Airport and 120km away from Gunsan Airport, and it has transportation network stretching to all directions. It can hold 1,230 thousand persons in domestic line and 1,150 thousand persons in international line on annual basis, and also the parking lots can hold 770 vehicles. In addition, airplanes can operate 196,000 times a year. Currently, it operates Jeju line in domestic line and Shanghai, Shenyang, Kaohsiung, and Taipei lines in international line.
